From the Mailbox

Ondine Karady will be featured in the February issue of Cosmo and the March 2009 issue of Traditional Home (see image above).

And, most exciting - Ondine was one of an assuredly small and highly select group of designers asked to submit their portfolios to the office of a certain Mrs. O! While she was not ultimately selected (that honor went to designer Michael Smith), it must have been an huge thrill to be asked!!

And, speaking of the political - here are Ondine and Andrea Schroder - both looking gorgeous of course - attending the Huffington Post Pre-inaugural ball. Ondine was right on trend with her bright yellow clutch (yellow is the color of the year!) Check out Andrea's blog for more inauguration images.

You finally hit your breaking point this episode and realized that you had achieved what you set out to do and it was time to send yourself home to your family. It takes a lot of courage to know when to say when. We'll miss you all the same.

Resides in Santa Monica Mountains, Calif.

Andrea approaches design thinking of the big picture -- the whole property, the whole house, the whole room. She believes that spaces need to function, make sense, and be inviting and comfortable. Blessed with an innate eye for beauty and with a combination of education and over 15 years of personal and professional experience, Andrea is primarily focused on design as it pertains to real estate and development. At 36, she has built and sold over 15 custom homes, as well as remodeled residential and commercial real estate including two movie theaters, and a historical building with loft apartments, a barn and more. Andrea has also helped creatively on several movie and music video sets. She is the owner of a real estate development and design company, Schroder Development, and is currently working on the development of a large lifestyle neighborhood in Western Colorado, in addition to other projects. At the age of 18, Andrea met and married her husband, actor Ricky Schroder. Together they live on a farm in the Santa Monica Mountains just outside of Los Angeles where they raise their four children, three dogs and various farm animals.
